Adapting excercise into everday chores

Identify the weak area and work around it....Simple to declare and extremely hard to follow..

Have devised various techniques to inculcate excercise into every day life.

A. Visual motivation and a reminder placards stuck on fridge under todo and rewarding when placards move to Done column...

B. List of excercise for a week and place it near a tv or a place which acts like reminder

C.Associate excercise with everyday rituals...

Allow brushing teeth (stop start move movement pnf therapy)

Allow atleast 4 tries to eat independently before grabbing the spoon

When feeding go sidewards to her weak part and keep the spoon a little away..and ask her to move the weak hip muscle and advance towards the spoon....

And repeat the same with the other side

Another tip is to gently press the spoon on the tongue which would force the kid to use tongue to push the spoon

When playing make the kid stand and keep the toys back front to allow the hip rotation effortlessly...Secure around in order to give a comfort of not able to fall....

When in potty ask her to turn back and flush both sides....

Allow her to try to open the tap and wash....

My Ten Commandments

I hereby in my conscious sensible sense will give my best to achieve the below pledge for my betterment

1. Will continue to write with passion without worrying about the number of likes and definitely not with a 'cynic hat' but with a confident 'writers hat'.
2. Will getup everyday with fresh challenges, fresh thoughts and with a smile.
3. Will smile and pass my happiness to at least one passerby.
4. Will not allow my day to be spoilt if I do not get an acknowledging smile.
5. Will be immune to negative comparisons, cynicism when in conversation with unfriendly friends and likely antagonist of the most of the DILs.
6. Will not complain about thyroid, or any other hormonal imbalances for my laziness.
7. Will concentrate on only one work at a time, cook like a chef tasting along the way, house cleaning like helpers room by room.
8. Will treat myself like a queen, sitting in the balcony, enjoying all that the nature has to offer sipping a cup of coffee, at least for an hour irrespective of how bad the day was.
9. Will count till 10 with all 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4ths in between when I am about to explode with anger.
10. Will enjoy each and every moment by living in the moment and embracing all that life has to offer without worrying about the past or the future.

Bedara Kannamma

Life has given surprising, bewildering gifts sometimes very appropriate to the occasions. It has also made me aware of things i take for granted. This incident is a real eye opener (or the opposite) for the above mentioned declaration.

Everyone in our family wears glasses except me, the latest entrant being my daughter. I accompanied her during one of the visits and got my eyes checked. Please be aware that i never had any issues with my sight. At this point i also checked the latest frame types that would enhance my features and render an intellectual outlook just incase the report turns out to be wrong.

Enter the doctors cabin, and the initial statement out of his mouth created visuals of the gigantic tsunami like waves, after which i wasn't able to collect my scattered mind in grasping what the dr reasoned out. My external and internal senses don't go hand in hand resulting in many misunderstandings from time to time. The repercussions might be minimal or humungous based on the relationship with my audience.

In this case the doctor was strangely surprised with my calm demeanour. He definitely would have listed me as one of the most calm, open minded, satvik patient he would have come across in his career. I would definitely be remembered for a long time as a girl who welcomed her going blind with a smile. I hope he doesnt direct all panic struck patients to me for my counselling. I might be quoted as real living example of the theory ‘Accept all that GOD has to offer either good or bad’. I cannot be blamed for his misreadings. The fact is that i got tranquilized and the end result of the internal shock waves and doldrums leaks out in the form of a smugly smile.

It nearly took me a day to come out of that shock afterwhich my mind was much composed to accept that some stones are found at the retina of the eye for which nothing can be done but to wait and watch! till the vision is completely lost. Though on a positive note the doctor has prescribed some vitamins which might kick the stones out.

This all happened a week before shivaratri. I hope you would seen the resemblance to the bedara kannappa story(kannada movie) where the ‘shiva devotee’ hunter kanappa is being tested for his faith in GOD. The lingam to which he loyally parts his hunted offerings starts to bleed in the eye, he doesn't hesitate to use his arrow to scoop out his eyes to one after another to replace the bleeding one and so the story goes…
I hope the Lord still remembers the climax of that story(the eyes of kanappa are restored). Hey God I have my full faith in you!(in case u forget i did chant rudram during shivaratri).

My memory palace

Everybody's memory is arranged in a different way intrinsically whose basic rules of that arrangement is unaware of.

I don't know about others, but my primary key of my memory storage is the emotions that was attached during the subject of the memory.

Off late many incidents are surfacing to prove my theory of my memory management. One was the demise of SPB which brought out many of his old golden melodies. Which made me cry for a different reason. I was transported to that era when I used to hang around the radio listening to vividbharathi aired between 8.15 to 10 am during the holidays. My mind was totally free from the clutter of all stress, worry, or future. Life was so different. With this audio input my my creative imagination would paint a beautiful video.

Nothing worried me. Even the unfinished holiday homework till the last day of the holiday.

I don't want to digress...Let me come to another incident. Eversince the corona time an urge to do something different kept coming. I decided to watch an old movie Nagarahavu. The last time I had watched was with my family, neighbors, when I was a little girl. It brought about mixed emotions, I was very happy that I could strike one out from my ToDo list. I was totally unhappy that my earlier happy memory of watching this movie is going to get replaced with the current one. Or it's the midlife crisis age, or the uncertain effect of corona age, cant pinpoint on the exact reason for my unrest mind. Anyway I couldn't complete the movie overcome by my emotional trauma.

The movie was awesome with beautiful acting by Ashwath, Leelavathi, Vishnu....I also realized that only now I understood that movie....😁
